Travelling around the country speaking about various opportunity’s and travelling around to international conferences, when deep down inside I knew EXACTLY how much effort, sweat and work was involved to get internet business off the ground and running.

I am motivated to write these words from the heart, to thank some of the people I have met along the way. Fantastic, motivated, committed servants to many, these people have guided me, befriended, motivated and mentored me onwards to success. To all those who have been part of my journey, I honour you!.

Our basic need to group with like minded individuals, to feel part of something bigger than just you.

Even great leaders understand that many members of their ‘Team’ turn up like clockwork to meetings seminars and rally’s, traveling at great expense all over the country, probably spending money they can ill afford, for ONE reason only…. to feel part of a team. To FEEL like they are moving on, even when the are not!. A colleague once told me a great truth and I’ll share it right here and now.

The truth is sometimes extremely painful to accept, and I feel for many acceptance comes at a great personal expense. Being told that you can do it and seeing the success around you at meetings only amplifies the feeling that it must be YOU! It’s YOUR fault your not on stage and here’s why:-

Seriously… how does this effect your long term self esteem? When you suck in all the “training” and make “The” decision doubling and increasing your efforts. When you pull out every stop, putting you life on hold, taking ALL OUT MASSIVE ACTION. When you forsake holidays and time with family, when you place the blinkers on and pursue a course of action no matter what, come what may, rain, shine, family, friends, relationships, and even then, your sat in the audience, AGAIN, searching for the moment of clarity. Wondering “Why Not You?”.

They say babies cry for it and soldiers die for it! I know I served in the Armed Forces for over 14 years. As proud as you can feel receiving medals for service to Queen and Country, nothing compares to the inner feeling of pride that comes from serving others. Getting recognised for it is an extraordinary feeling, only surpassed by empowering others to feel the same way. Your superior, your sponsor, your boss, colleagues and friends should empower you with the skills & the philosophies to achieve in your workplace or indeed in your business. Being recognised for your efforts in front of your peers is and always will be a motive for many, and its no bad thing.

This is true in reverse, well almost. For the massess and I mean the Masses, who have not achieved success yet in their business, they will look amongst themselves and see they are not alone. Some comfort will be drawn from knowing they are part of the crowd. Next time they will be up on stage, next time they will be celebrating their success with the other leaders…..next time.
